Description
Twende Green Planet is looking for a Blue Carbon Programme Manager to run our on-the-ground restoration work: the Blue Carbon Quarterly Activation and Mangrove & Seagrass Restoration programmes. You’ll be the link between our Nairobi office and the coastal communities and nurseries doing the planting. To apply, email your CV to hr@twende.green with “Blue Carbon Programme Manager” in the subject line.
Here’s what you’d do:
You’ll manage restoration delivery end to end, from community nurseries through to planting seasons and survival monitoring, keeping every programme on schedule and reporting-ready.
- Coordinating mangrove and seagrass restoration activities across partner community sites
- Managing community nursery operations and planting-season logistics
- Tracking survival rates and site data for funder and partner reporting
- Liaising with local Community Forest Associations and community groups
Here’s what to know about working here:
This is a field-facing role: regular travel to Kenya’s coast is part of the job, alongside coordination from our Nairobi office. It suits someone equally comfortable in a community nursery and writing a funder update.
What We Offer:
As new sites and programmes come online, including our Highland & Catchment Forest Restoration work, this role is positioned to grow into a wider programmes portfolio.
- Paid annual leave
- NHIF and NSSF contributions
- Field allowance for coastal site travel
