Overview

Africa’s development challenges are increasingly interconnected. The Global NGO Stakeholders Summit 2026 was created around that reality, bringing together NGO leaders, government representatives, development partners, private-sector actors, researchers and innovators under one roof.

Held from 24–26 June 2026 at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, the Summit’s 2026 theme, “Catalyzing Change: Strengthening Social Impact Organizations for Inclusive & Sustainable Development in Africa by Bridging Policy, Innovation and Leveraging Local Solutions,” placed partnership at the centre of the conversation.

Four Priorities That Matter Beyond the Summit:

NGOs increasingly need to think beyond traditional grant cycles. Social enterprise, blended finance, impact investment and results-based approaches can complement conventional development funding.

Development becomes more durable when communities and local institutions are treated as partners rather than passive beneficiaries.

Several Summit conversations connected directly to work already underway on the ground, including ecosystem restoration along Africa’s coastlines and catchments.

Partnerships formed in Nairobi need to be tracked against real, measurable outcomes, not counted as a success simply because the conversation happened.
