Sophia Wabosha
Community Centre Coordinator
Swahilipot Hub Foundation
Sophia Wabosha is a community development practitioner and youth empowerment leader with deep grassroots experience translating policy into tangible opportunity for young Africans.
As Community Centre Coordinator for Kilifi County at Swahilipot Hub Foundation, she leads a team delivering youth empowerment programmes that build agency, foster entrepreneurship, and connect young people to pathways in employment and leadership — demonstrating exactly the kind of county-level, community-driven implementation that the Global NGO Stakeholders Summit champions.
As Co-Founder and Programme Lead of Give for Good Kenya, she has mobilised resources to establish community libraries and advance literacy among vulnerable populations, embodying the civil society-led, impact-first approach central to the summit's agenda.
Sophia holds a Postgraduate Degree in Development Studies from the University of Pretoria, and brings both academic rigour and field-tested expertise to her work. She is a 2024 Mandela Rhodes Scholar and a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow — recognitions that affirm her standing as one of Africa's emerging leaders in development practice.
Her voice at the summit represents the critical intersection of grassroots NGO work, county government engagement, and youth-centred development — making her a vital contributor to the conversations on scalable, community-owned solutions that will define this gathering.
