Zuweina Farah
Director for External Affairs
Vodacom Tanzania Foundation
Zuweida Farah is the Director of External Affairs and Vodacom Foundation at Vodacom Tanzania Plc, one of Tanzania's leading telecommunications companies. In this role, she leads the company's Corporate Social Investment strategy and oversees the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation, which has channelled billions of Tanzanian shillings into education, health, and gender empowerment — directly benefiting over 10 million Tanzanians.
Zuweida brings a wealth of cross-sector experience, having previously held positions at Global Compact Network Tanzania, SNDBX, Victoria Finance PLC, and Smile Communications Tanzania Limited. She holds a legal education from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, giving her a strong foundation in governance, compliance, and international policy.
Under her leadership, the Foundation has driven impactful initiatives including digital classrooms, e-health platforms, and campaigns combating gender-based violence — demonstrating how corporate foundations can serve as powerful engines for inclusive development across Tanzania.
At the NGO Summit 2026, Zuweida brings critical insight into private sector–civil society partnerships, corporate philanthropy, and the strategic alignment of business investment with national development goals — essential perspectives for NGOs seeking to scale through corporate partnerships.
